Here is Eileena in her new temporary home, visiting with a couple of sculptures and the big cat that made me mad (broken ear and tail.) I'll get back to him sometime. You can also see the fabric and findings I have for her clothing. Once all that was gathered, I took a look at some of the wings in the butterflies on the dress she will be wearing and began to sketch her wings on plain sketch paper.

Once the wings are sketched, I ink over them with black ink. Then I dig out my lightbox and watercolor paper and begin to paint. I like salt techniques for this.

Once the wings are painted (just one half of a set) I set my doll next to them to compare how it should look. The wings are then scanned into my computer and mirrored then printed on acetate. Then they get a layer of Diamond Glaze smoothly applied. The rest comes after they dry.

A new day. I started with the sketch I made before I started the doll then began to cover her with a base of clay to build upon.
